KTM and Husqvarna TPIs are fanatic motorcycles, but unfortunately the engine will not run when the battery is empty. For example, when you're out and about and the battery is dead, you push your motorcycle home.
The batteryless starter capacitor kit can be used with KTM and Husqvarna TPI 2-stroke and allows the motorcycle to be started and run when the battery is empty or removed.
Remarks:
If the battery is empty, the electric start will not work even if the BLS is installed. To start the engine with the BLS installed, it must be pedaled or started on a downhill slope
Description:
The PreCharge wiring harness allows a 9V battery (not included) to be connected to pre-charge the BLS capacitor and enable a smoother kickstart. A diode is used in the wiring harness to protect the 9V battery while the engine is running. It is recommended that you keep a new 9V battery in your backpack or air filter box and plug it in when the motorcycle battery runs out and a kickstart is required.
The BLS capacitor kit contains a capacitor assembly and a zip tie to install the capacitor. The capacitor has two cable connections: red must be connected to the battery + terminal and black must be connected to the battery ground terminal. The BLS capacitor can be installed permanently or temporarily during a battery problem. After starting, the engine will run normally even if the motorcycle battery is completely discharged or removed. The electric start will not work if the battery is dead or removed. The weight of the kit is approx. 65 g.
Warning - The BLS capacitor stores the electrical charge internally as soon as it is connected to the motorcycle battery or charging system. With the BLS capacitor uninstalled, you must safely discharge it (e.g. a 12v lightbulb could be used) and avoid shorting the cable terminals.
