- Mousse – these are foam rubber rings that are becoming increasingly popular in off-road sports.
- Mousse is used in the tire instead of a traditional, air-filled inner tube to ensure the tire has the necessary volume.
- These foam rubber rings are available in different degrees of hardness to simulate the air pressure typical of a traditional inner tube.
- This is achieved during the production of such foam rubber rings by varying the density or looseness of the foam from which the foam rubber is made.
- The use of mousse prevents the tire from being flattened due to external influences, such as a nail or hard, sharp edges that could cause a tube to burst.
- This guarantees the rider a flat finish during training – and of course, especially where it matters – in competitions!
- Each GIBSON® Mousse is delivered in a cardboard box, additionally sealed in vacuum-sealed film.
- This ensures maximum protection against degassing, sunlight, and dirt, further increasing its lifespan.
- Mousse has a limited shelf life due to the natural shrinkage of the foam rubber. For this reason, GIBSON® Mousse is only ever produced in quantities that ensure maximum storage and service life for the customer.
